It has been announced that Ed Helms(The Hangover, The Office) will be playing the role of Detective Frank Drebin in a upcoming reboot of the film The Naked Gun. The role of Drebin was made famously by Leslie Nielsen. It started off as a 1982 TV series and spawned two film sequels. Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant will write the script.
